Here’s the deal kids, I hate wearing masks, but this one’s actually really comfortable. For me to say that, means a lot – it feels nice on and isn’t annoying. The interior layer is a very soft bamboo, the same fabric we use for our screenprinted scarves; the exterior is a very tightly woven microfiber poly that is recommended to keep moisture away and the crud out. Yep, it’s a little spendy for a single mask, but there’s over 2 hours of work in each to get it just right, and it’s infinitely reusable!

♥ ♥ ♥ MATCH IT! See it on a scarf, tie, bow tie or pocket square ♥ ♥ ♥

Hand washing is always best for longevity, but machine washing is okay if you protect your mask so the ear loops do not get hung up on any other piece of clothing or part of your machine. It is best to put it inside a knotted pillowcase, lingerie bag, or even a pants pocket so it doesn’t potentially get tangled up on anything.

As for the dryer, yes…they can, be put in, but we really do not recommend it – hanging dry is preferable. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you really should. 😉 The inner lining is bamboo viscose which isn’t a fan of high temps, but the biggest worry again is the longevity of your elastic ear loops, just like you don’t put bras and hi-rent skivvies in the dryer, elastic can get easily tangled and stretched out of place, and will lose the one purpose it has in life, more quickly. Hanging dry is best for anything that has elastic bits.

Do it! For any re-shaping needed after washing? A hot iron is totally safe – we heat set at 350-400 degrees in the printing process. Iron away!
